Enjoy a multitude of aquatic activities for everybody
Aware of Aqua Mundo's environmental impact, we use all our knowledge and skills to reduce our carbon footprint and optimize our water management.
Concrete actions and innovative solutions implemented in our parks, already make it possible to reduce the environmental footprint of our aquatic spaces.
Thus, we favor the most appropriate energy solutions, and we are accelerating towards a more thoughtful use of water:
- 100% of our electricity consumption comes from green electricity.
- Our parks which use geothermal energy, biomass boilers, or solar panels can cover as much as 100%* of their energy needs in terms of heating and hot water.
- Our most recent parks, which account for more than half of our French sites, have introduced systems for storing pool water in buffer tanks at night to save the energy needed to heat the pool the following day.
- Our aquatic spaces have decreased their temperature by 1° in certain months, thus considerably reducing their energy consumption.
A part of our rainwater and washing water is recycled for our gardens and green areas needs.
*At Villages Nature Paris, 100% of the site's heating needs (village center and accommodations) are met by deep geothermal energy.
Center Parcs’ Green Key Label and ISO 14001 & ISO 50001 certifications of all our parks are an important step.
But this is just the beginning : the goals that we set for ourselves for 2025, and that we are well on the way to achieving, reflect our future commitment to reducing our ecological footprint and continuously improving our environmental performance in the future.
We know that the road to greater responsibility is still a long game, and we seek to improve further :
The Center Parcs's environmental objectives by 2025: -15% reduction in energy consumption in volume and intensity vs. 2019. In January 2024, we have already achieved a -14.6% reduction in energy consumption in terms of intensity and -8.6% in terms of volume.
Also, Center Parcs aims to reduce water consumption by -16% in 2025 vs. 2018-2019 in terms of intensity (m3 per overnight stay). We have already achieved a –8,7%.
Finally, we are making studies to identify ourmost consumptive parks in order to improve water management.
