Leutkirch is a typical quaint German town, close to Lake Constance. The lake is bordered by Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Lake Constance is the perfect place to practice water sports, because it is very big, the lake has over 270 kilometers of shoreline! If you want to combine an active holiday with culture, Leutkirch is a great destination. There are many cycling routes for the area, for instance there is one with the Zeil Castle directly on the route. Another magical castle that is definitely worth visiting is Neuschwanstein. Fun fact: the castle from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty was inspired by Neuschwanstein! Besides these beautiful castles, there are some impressive old churches to visit near Leutkirch as well. In Lindau, one of South-Germany’s most pitoresque towns, you can find the St. Peter’s Church, which dates back to the 10^th century. Moreover, Lindau’s harbor is famous for its 13^th century lighthouse and the Bavarian Lion Sculpture.
